This was one of the first hydrants that they used in the boardwalk area of A.C. (I think.) Regardless, to me, it is a symbol of all the courageous people that put their lives on the line for our safety. This only solidified my feelings when less than 10 minutes later I saw several firemen in their gear on the boardwalk. I just wanted to take the time to thank all those wonderful people, be they firefighters, police or EMS workers, those in the military, etc. Is there anyone that you find courageous?
I think anyone who manages to get through the day without being heavily medicated is courageous. Things are HARD sometimes. I've been on and off meds for a couple years now and the world just seems to be getting crazier.
