Having a bit of time before I could head home, I decided to pop up to the MoMA as it's one of the many museums I've not been to before in New York. A colleague of mine had said there was an interesting display on tupperware, and that was intriguing enough for me! While not a huge fan of modern art, I really appreciated some of the exhibits. I especially enjoyed Starry Night, like near about everyone else in attendance. There were a lot of really neat pieces, and a good number of ones I couldn't... quite understand. But it was definitely a fun place to check out.

The Starbucks in Brookfield Place is definitely one of the fanciest and biggest I've seen. The number of terminals where you could pick up your drink or food item are crazy! It's also a Starbucks Reserve, which I hadn't heard of before. Apparently it is more potent and pure tasting than the regular stuff. As a non-coffee drinker, I'll have to take the word of my colleagues who enjoyed it. I did appreciate the vibe of this Starbucks though!

Definitely interesting to see all the different coffee joints that aren't around my building. There are definitely no lack of them in the city! And certainly no lack of folks partaking at this hour of the morning. I certainly don't blame anyone as I had to be in earlier than normal as well. Hopefully someone wasn't too bleary eyed to see a crane waiting to be found!

I just the the name of this venue is hilarious! I have no idea where the name came from, but this place was tucked along the back of one of the buildings, a bit away from everything. If I hadn't seen it on the map, I'm not sure I would've known to look for it. It seems like they had a small menu with a few different types of items on it.

I decided with the weather being a modicum less cold that it had been the rest of the week, it was a good time to do a little walking along the water to explore. Having never taken any of the ferries into or out of the city, I popped by the terminal to see what the going rate was as well as where they docked after departing. The ferry terminal was a bit out of the wind, so I was hoping a crane placement wouldn't be a terrible idea.

I was pleased to find out that my temporary work location was nearby one of the local libraries I have not yet visited. It was a two story place right by the water with lots of fun activities. I wanted to poke around for a bit, but my lunch break wasn't long enough to accommodate a full exploration. However, I did take a quick jaunt around the first floor and enjoyed looking at the spines on the aisles.

I popped it as a juice seemed like it would be just the right thing in the morning. However, the prices were a bit much for my liking. The vibe seemed really cozy, that I could see myself hanging around for a bit. I am a big fan of places with cool vibes that are good for people watching!

From Brookfield Place, you have a direct line of sight to the Statue of Liberty, which I really appreciate whenever I walk by. I do manage to see her at least once a day on the commute in, but it's always something special seeing her and remembering all the folks who came before; the folks who came to this country with little more than the shirts on their backs at times. It reminds that that my own great-grandparents came over when they were younger than me to start a new life here.

The Oculus, which looks like a spine from the outside, is a really interesting new shopping structure that also connects many different modes of transportation in one location. Folks from New Jersey coming over on the PATH, find themselves dropped off at the far end of the Oculus. Coming in from street level, it is really neat to see all the people dispersing in waves from the PATH stop and going all different directions to various subways and to street level to their jobs.

After meeting a friend for brunch, I popped over to Starbucks to pick up a drink for my ride home. It was set right down the way from the Top Golf, which is a place I've not been to but heard a lot about. A driving range coupled with a bar, appropriate for all seasons. It definitely seems like it's a good time, and I'm hoping to be able to go up there some time. It's been probably over a decade, at least, since I've been to a driving range!
