The Indian Rocks Beach History Museum is somewhere I wanted to visit the last time I was down visiting, but it was being renovated. So I made sure to put it on my list of things to do this visit! It is a lovely little museum staffed by wonderfully informative ladies. It had lots of awesome old maps and articles from newspapers. They had a number of different exhibits about the area, the settlers, the artifacts. It was just a very nice local history museum.

 I popped around on Groupon to see if there were any things we hadn't done or seen while down there. I found the Zen Glass Studio. Now I had done glass blowing at home before, but I had never done wine glass stem twisting. It was really a neat experience choosing glass, heating it together, and then twisting it to make a stem. We had a lot of fun and the instructors were really laid back. It made for a wonderful experience that I absolutely would recommend to people who are living in or visiting the area.

I'm always impressed by how easy it is to get into Tampa International Airport. I've driven into it and from it on a number of occasions. They allow people to park for an hour for free and provide a cellphone lot for people just picking others up. Signage is easy to understand, and you don't have to circle around the airport in a flurry of traffic and herding from traffic officers. If only more airport were like TPA, air travel would be a lot less stressful and a lot easier!

Never one to turn down a visitor's center, I popped into the Polk Outpost 27 to take a short break and place a crane. As I sat in the parking lot taking the picture, I wondered why in the short drive, I had heard the emergency testing sound come on a couple times. I turned up the radio to see why it kept playing. Apparently there was a tornado warning in the area! Certainly explains all the crazy dark clouds. Shortly after that, when I got back on the highway, I'm pretty sure I saw a small convoy of storm trackers. I'm not sure they were successful, but it definitely got the old blood a'pumpin'!

In looking back, this placement bring a smile to my face. I used to love the movie Fantasia when I was a kid. My favorite were the Pegasuses and the ballerina hippos (to the point that one year I was a ballerina hippo). The brooms that are behind the crane actually used to scare me. I was afraid one would come alive in my house and brush me away. But Mickey in this scene required serious rescuing. He was in WAY over his head being a magical apprentice. Thankfully he was rescued because it was looking quite bad for a while. Excuse me while I go re-watch Fantasia.

The word nestled always reminds me of Christmas. I cannot associate it with anything other than being snug in bed with visions of sugarplums. It's kind of funny how some words are so strongly attached with meanings or concepts that it's hard to think of them in any other way. Sure you could be nestled in a cave. Or an animal could be nestled in a tree for winter. But I cannot picture anyone thinking or dreaming of anything other than those good ol' sugarplums. (Has anyone even had a sugarplum? I doubt I could pick it out in a candy store without explicit signage!)

I had never been to any of the All-Star Resorts at Disney so I decided to take the little Disney bus to them, hoping I could easily walk from one to another and place a few cranes. Well, I was able to walk between them all but my terrible sense of direction failed me! I did end up getting a little lost and wandering by several resort pools in hopes of finding either the main desk, a gift shop, or a flat surface that wasn't at risk of getting wet. This picture was taken by one of the Disney Cruise ships that they have.

I wanted to check out some of the resorts I've either not yet seen or hadn't seen in some time. The last time I had been to Coronado Springs was on my trip to DisneyWorld in August of 2008. We had stayed there for the second half of our trip when the time share we had bummed off a family member of a friend had run out. Coronado Springs definitely had a nice feel and I enjoyed being able to overlook the water. I don't think I've seen a resort yet that I've not liked!

So in my haste, I forgot to take a picture of this crane before placing it! I was cutting it close popping in to the ESPN Club prior to my 10:20 brunch reservation at Boma. So I didn't really get to explore the ESPN Club or do much other than seeing how to get to it. I didn't even know it existed prior to this trip! Orlando definitely has a lot to offer when you have your own mode of transportation!

I used to have a very wonderful blogging friend, Lubabat. She was so supportive, kind, and inquisitive when I first started my crane project. She would comment often, and vigorously. I would smile every time I saw a message from her in my inbox. She ran a project called Operation Smiley Face and often brought smiles to all the people she encountered. L was a bright star with a knack for bringing joy. Unfortunately she passed away back in 2011 from cancer before I was able to cross paths with her. Being in the area she lived reminded me of her wonderful personality and encouragement. So I placed this crane in L's memory.
