The old psychology major in me loves this word. I'm certainly an introvert, through and through, but I always find it interesting that extroverts seem to be seen more positively than introverts. Maybe it's charisma, or charm, or some sort of silly fascination. I know I end up feeling drawn to the outgoing sort of people. Perhaps it's just an opposites attract sort of thing that I find myself with extroverted friends. Do you happen to have friends that compliment you in terms of personality traits?

  1. Absolutely! For example, I was always much more reserved (I know, shocker to those who know me now) than my best friend Jenna...to this day I'm still the more logical one. But she is far more outgoing and laid back than I am and when we're together we just mesh perfectly. Hence her being my BFF (haha) for over 10 years now :)

  2. First off: this is the most beautiful idea for a blog I think I've ever seen/read. You are amazing. (I love the book, too!). Also, as someone who definitely rides the I-E fence on the Meyers' Briggs, it's been interesting to observe other people. I think introverts tend to just be more cautious and observant than extroverts, which can come across as any number of bad things. I think our society likes to see extroverted, in-your-face people as successful, which is why we think of them a bit more positively. They're proactive, they're assertive. I dunno. I guess I tend to be drawn to introverts, actually - I love to draw them out and figure out what they're thinking. Without fail, I've found they always have interesting, insightful things to say.

  3. I am so touched by your mission and am glad you're spreading love. It would be so cool to find one of your cranes. If you're ever visiting DC make sure to come to my hood! :)

  5. I consider myself an introvert too with a number of extroverted friends. I think our personalities balance our friendship.

P.S thanks for reading my blog. I am touched with your project. We used to make origamis in elementary but now I lost all my paper folding skills. I'll try to revive those skills one of these days. :)

    much love,

  6. I'm more of an introvert but my hubby is an extrovert through and through. He's so out going and will talk to anyone. My best friend though is an introvert like me but when I'm with her I become a bit more out going. Never figured out why though.

I love your project! It's so creative and amazing! I wish you luck with it.

Hope you have a good weekend!
    Kate
