Question: Inspirational Words?

Well, since it's been a bit rainy/windy over here for the last couple days, my midweek crane placement ideas have been thwarted. I figured this would be a good time to throw this question out to you lovely readers. What words do you have positive associations with? Is there any word/words you hope to see on a crane in the future?

There are some words that I have positive associations with that I did not include on my list. Words like family (mom, dad, grandparents, etc.), pets (not pests!), and flowers (mostly lilacs and honeysuckles) are all things (among many others) I have fond memories and feelings for. But I know, sadly, that isn't true for everyone. So what words are positive/inspire you?

    these words never fail to bring a smile to my face, and while they may not be appropriate for a little crane, they are still happy making words!

  6. Love this! Thankyou for your inspiration and uniting the blogging community. In that spirit.... How about the word community.... Or kinship, brotherhood, sisterhood, or of course friendship? Exciting to see where this journey will lead you! Good luck. Xo Carrie Lee Wendt

  12. I used to be a teacher and read this book to my students every year and then teach them to make a crane. It was always one of my favorites and my students enjoyed it too. How about words that could describe Sadako? courage, peaceful, hope, faith, loved, dream, wish, accepting

  15. @Lil- Thank you so much for your kind words!! You'll find friendship on my list but anything having to do with family was excluded. Even though I'd like to use them, I'm keeping it as neutral as possible.

  16. @Willow - You'll be happy to know most of those words are on there. I generally kept it to English words mostly due to the fact that I don't know any other languages and I'd be afraid of misusing a word!

    @Anon1 - All taken care of. :)

    @Kerry - Thanks a bunch! Stay tuned for those words to make their appearance.

    @L - Thank you greatly!

    @Autumn - There are definitely a lot of words on there that I wish I could've used! And a good number of them that will be making their way onto cranes in the future.

    @Anon2 - That's really wonderful that you not only read the book to your children but also taught them how to fold cranes. Bravo! You know, I don't think wish is on my list. I'm going to have to see if I can work it in.

    @Shari - I definitely like your list. I think they are good words to live by.

    @Sofia - I love autumn and most things having to do with it. I'd love to have a crane with that word on it.
