Man, what a lovely evening it was at the beach. The temperature was in the low 70s, the waves were calming, the sky looked like it was painted. It's nights like these when I appreciate how close I live to the beach. While most of the positive words could be used to describe the beach, lovely did so perfectly tonight.

  1. Hey, it's Christ from LJ. I need to work on making my google ID show up as something recognisable! I think this is a marvellous idea. If you don't mind, I'll post links on my Facebook and LJ to spread the word.

  2. Sandy,
What a lovely and creative project. Last year my students and I read the story of Sadako. We were really inspired by it and my students went paper crane crazy for a while. How I wish we had thought to have dones something as wonderful as this with our cranes. So much happiness to you and your project of peace. Millie

  3. I love it how you used the word that was inspired by the place itself!! We can only hope that the person who finds the crane would think of their surroundings there as of lovey as well, now that would be LOVELY! :)

Also, having taken a look at your previous posts, I really like it how different your cranes are, this is like an extra challenge - to make something new yet the same on a regular basis! Do you have any specific regimen, like how many cranes a day you make or how often you place them?

  5. @Millie -
Thank you so much for your kind words! :) It makes me happy to hear that this story is being taught in schools, and the children are finding it inspiring. Maybe you can do something like this with next years class. Thank you again Millie. Good luck and keep on inspiring the kids with what you teach!
