The last time I had seen the area where the Sands Casino is now, it was all Bethlehem Steelworks buildings. It was basically a graveyard for all the steel equipment that stopped being used when the steelmill went out. I was pleased to see what they had done, and are continuing to do with that area in order to bring in businesses and money. Plus it looks pretty cool to boot.
hmm interesting! are casinos a new thing in that area? (as in are they newly legal or whatever?)
ReplyDelete@Tara - They aren't a new thing, to my knowledge. But I'm not too sure. I know they had been talking about building one for a while.
