Another thing I was amazed by when I was a kid was Ripley's Believe It Or Not. I first visited one when I was... I must've been 12 or so. If I had visited one sooner, I've since forgotten. I begged my parents to go when we were on vacation. I was so interested in all the oddities of the world. They had a 2 headed kitten (of which I am now well aware was not the actual kitten, thankfully.) They showed tribes from where I cannot now recall in their native gear, stuff I had never seen before. I lapped it up. I actually have now placed the book about Mr. Ripley himself on my list of books I'd like to read. I should think it'll be an entertaining read to say the least.
