Who doesn't love a week of vacation from work!? Well, when that week consists of moving, unpacking and working on a thesis paper, the number of people loving a vacation week might drop a bit. I'm certainly enjoying it though. It's nice to be able to get settled and start putting a dent in my research for my paper. I'm trying to utilize every second of this "vacation". So this crane was left at the library where I did a bit of my research reading. And it also kicks off the beginning of some more crane placements in my new area! Be on the look out for some new updates to the website (in time!) and a lot more crane placements.

I've also got my next big trip planned for the beginning of June to Disney World! So lots of exciting things on the horizon. Stay tuned!

Another Muhlenberg Crane Finder!

I got this email from another crane that I left at my alma mater. Allison "Albi" left a comment on the entry for 172. Dear.

I'm impressed that you named them all! I'm not sure I could come up with that many names. Hopefully you have a great spring semester!

A Muhlenberg Crane Finder

I got this comment a couple days ago on the entry for 169. Sprightly:

Another crane seems to be found by a perfect person! Hopefully you, the finder, and Sprightly have a wonderful time abroad! I must say that studying abroad was one of the best decisions I ever made in college. It's definitely an unforgettable experience that everyone should have if they are afforded the opportunity.

Things may be a bit quiet over here for the next couple of weeks. We are in the process of moving, so while I'm still trying to get out and about to release, I'm trying to make sure all our stuff is packed and goes where it needs to go. After that though, there will be a whole new local area to place cranes in. Only a bit farther north than where I am now, but definitely a new batch of places to release cranes! So stay tuned!

Stellar was one of my favorite songs by Incubus when I was a bit younger. I definitely thought of the song when I was placing this crane.

For as big a library fan I am, I only spent a couple of months working in the library in college. I didn't realize my desire to work there until my last semester there. I had a position restocking periodicals, so this was my area. I'd change the magazine and newspapers up a couple times a week. And I also put back those ridiculously large journal tomes. Certainly helped to increase my ability to alphabetize, that's for sure!

As a creative writing minor, this was one of the buildings I had class in. It wasn't too far fetched to hear singing, see dancers, and a number of people snapping pictures when sitting in the lobby. All the different people around just added to the sense of belonging. Of course, there wasn't anyone in sight on a Sunday morning, but at that time of day in college, I would still be sleeping too.

I saw a lot of this little area during my time in college. It was the home my my major area. Lots of projects and group work were done at the computers. My adviser and other professors in my major were all situated around that little area. Sadly, on a Sunday, none were found lingering around. (Good for them!) So I just had to make due with a little trip down memory lane.
