I am a bit hesitant to say this... Charlotte Airport is probably my favorite airport I've ever been to. I don't think I've ever felt so relaxed during a layover. While this isn't my first stop, I discovered a terminal that no flights were arriving or departing from. That left me with a row of empty rocking chairs (!), a lovely view of the city of Charlotte, and some of my favorite holiday tunes playing. I could not imagine a better way to spend a little over an hour between flights. If all airports could only be like that... Rest assured, this will not be my last visit to that airport or North Carolina.
Do you have any airport that you favorite more? Or any interesting flight stories?
Hi Sandy, I had a layover in Charlotte as well, on December 1! I didn't see the rocking chairs, unfortunately, but had a similar relaxing experience (including rocking chairs!) in Philadelphia a few years back. I now wish I'd thought of bringing along a few cranes on my travels. Love that you do this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my 20SB page!!
ReplyDeleteI am now following you because I absolutely love what you are doing!! People are finding your cranes and are being inspired or comforted or even getting a sense of belonging!!
Love this project!! Keep up the good work!!
I am fascinated by airports because there's generally so much to do...but way more fun with a friend.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sandy! Great to be catching up with you & the cranes! :o) Those rocking chairs at the airport are wonderful...how restful...*sigh*... Many of the airports I've traveled through in recent year are the big international hubs, that are crazy busy and just getting through security is a feat in itself...finding them not much fun these days...LOL!
