(v) to know or understand
Location Placed: The Chatterbox Drive-In, Augusta, New Jersey
Date Placed: 5/22/11 1:19pm

After having passed this drive-in a number of times when coming home from camping in New York, I decided to pop in to see what it was all about. (It never looked open super early Sunday morning when we always seemed to pass by.) Definitely a cute little restaurant. If I wasn't in a hurry to get home to relax a bit before starting the work week, I may have sat down and had lunch. I left a crane to enjoy the view instead.

Definition:
(v) attract and completely engross in a task
Location Placed: Apple Valley Candy Shoppe, Milford, Pennsylvania
Date Placed: 5/22/11 12:42pm

After driving for over an hour, I decided a little candy window shopping was warranted. Nothing wrong with a little leg stretching. The shop was also filled with little knick knacks unrelated to candy. It seemed like a lovely place to put a crane. Hopefully it brightened up someone's day considering how dreary the weather was!

A surprising find in the Pennsylvania mountains! We stumbled across The Buffalo Shoppe while running out for groceries. We met the lady running it who told us that it was her family farm for cows years back but her parents farmed buffalo in Virginia. We were pretty impressed. If we were going to be there a bit longer, we probably would've bought some meat from there to try.

Location Placed: Starbucks, Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Who doesn't love a weekend away to a place they have never been before?! I set off for a weekend in the Poconos at a friends family house. Although the drive took an hour more than I had thought it would (oh, Friday evening traffic!), I still managed to place a crane at a Starbucks along the way.

185. Hugs
Definition:
(adj) squeeze someone tightly to show affection and appreciation
Location Placed: An apartment building hallway, New York, New York
Date Placed: 4/15/11 11:18a

As all good visits with friends go, a hug (or several) finished out a lovely visit. Seeing a show, gallivanting around Times Square, taking a walk around garden in Central Park... certainly a good weekend to be had and well worth a solid hug. I'm glad to have wonderful people in my life to give hugs to. And I can't think of anything else to say to not end on a sappy note, so enjoy a hug on me.

184. Adept

Definition:
(adj) very skilled or proficient at something
Location Placed: Starbucks, New York, New York
Date Placed: 5/14/11 9:44p

All I can say about this placement is that I probably need a camera that is more adept at taking pictures. Or perhaps I need to hone my skills a bit more!

183. Pal

183. Pal
Definition:
(n) a friend
Location Placed: Junior's Desserts, New York, New York
Date Placed: 5/14/11 9:15p

I got to spend some quality time with one of my pals from college on my visit up to New York City. There was mention of checking out this location to devour the best black and white cookie in the city. And it was a darn good cookie! Hopefully the pal crane was found by someone that enjoyed both it and a lovely cookie while visiting the Times Square area.

182. Magical

182. Magical
Definition:
(adj) beautiful or delightful in a way that seems to be removed from everyday life
Location Placed: La Mama Theater, New York, New York
Date Placed: 5/14/11 6:56p

Now, usually I don't find big cities magical, including New York. But this trip was all around pretty wonderful. Parts of it were quite magical (namely how the northern bit of Central Park was dead on our morning walk today!) It's fun to experience and see a lot of things I do not normally come in contact with on a day to day basis.
